2015: The Year of Good Health?
I went to bed last night with an awful, throbbing earache. Come morning I figured I had better get a "professional" to take a look, so off I toddled to my local doctor's surgery. 10 minutes and $130 later, my self diagnosis was confirmed...I had an ear infection.
At the end of last year, upon reflecting on the time passed, I decided that 2015 was going to be our Year of Good Health. I was off to a good start, making healing bone broths, signing up for a 30 Day Green Smoothie Challenge and The Paleo Way 10 Week Activation Program, fermenting probiotic-rich water kefir and kombucha teas, drinking apple cider vinegar and honey every morning and going hard on the High Intensity Interval Training.
While I lay on the couch today, nursing a drowsy head and a sore ear, I doubted my new year health focus, but only for a moment. The minor setback has strengthened my resolve to claim our health back.
Once I mustered up the energy I baked a batch of Protein-packed Paleo Blueberry Muffins (link to the post by Chef Pete Evans with the recipe is on my Facebook page), prepared and froze the morning's Green Smoothie ingredients and bottled our Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey drinks and Watermelon, Lime & Mint Detox Water.
