Bread in Common
I’d heard great things about Bread in Common but was skeptical, given the name, as to whether there would be much on the menu for me to eat. So Mr J and I thought we would check the place out for ourselves on our way to an event in Fremantle last weekend. It was also a great chance for me to try out my new SLR camera. As you can tell by the photos I need some more practice!
To say we were pleasantly surprised is an under-statement. This place has fast made our favourites list. I love everything about this place, from the warehouse style décor to the friendly, attentive service to the amazing food.
We started with the organic, wood-fired bread (not GF) and gluten free crackers with smoked zucchini and sesame dip. The smoky flavour in the dip is devine and the GF crackers were well above expectations.
For mains we had the prawn and grilled corn dish and one of the light salads, followed by the lamb ribs and duck fat potatoes on the side. Both main dishes were amazing but the lamb ribs are to die for. The lamb skin crackle is crispy and delicious while the meat is tender and juicy.
The menu is seasonal and changes frequently but we were told that the lamb ribs are a constant and definitely a must have. We will definitely be back before long.
